How To: Prep Your Nails

Step 1 – Remove Any Old Polish and File Your Nails

Remove any existing old polish from your natural nails. File your natural nails. Keep in mind that you will need to cover your entire nail with adhesives when later applying your press-on nails. Shorter natural nails are more suitable for press-on nail applications.

Step 2 - Push Back Your Cuticles

Push back your cuticles with the cuticle tools provided with your nail set. You will receive an “orange” stick and a soft cuticle pusher tool with each nail set. You may use either tool to push your cuticles back.

Step 3 – Buff Your Nails

Buff your nails to create a rough/textured surface, which will help either adhesion method last longer. You will receive a mini nail file and a mini buffer with each nail set. The buffer is the better option for this step, the nail file may be too course.

Step 4 – Clean and Dry Your Nails

You need to remove any natural oils and any debris remaining from buffing your nails. First, wash and dry your hands. Then, after completely drying your hands and nails, wipe your nails off with the alcohol wipe(s) provided with your nail set. The surface and edges MUST be clean and DRY prior to applying adhesive.

Step 5 – Apply Desired Adhesion Method
